Burnt Ends Recipe
Lauren, our beekeeper, has been perfecting this easy to cook bacon end recipe. Juicy, flavorful, these addictive bites are perfect for a holiday appetizer.
Burnt End Recipe-- Oven Only Recipe
1 pack of Duncan Farms Bacon Ends
1 packet of Duncan Farms Dry Rub
Your favorite BBQ sauce
Preheat oven to 225. Coat pork ends in Duncan Farms dry rub. Place ends in a roasting pan and bake for 3 hours. Flip them half way through. ( we recommend using a drip pan so the fat that cooks out drips away).
Remove ends after this first roast and let them rest for 30 minutes.
Raise oven temperature to 375 and get a baking pan. Coat ends in your favorite BBQ sauce and place on new baking sheet.
Roast an additional 2 hours checking every 30 minutes to star and recoat in BBQ sauce. Burnt ends are done when the outside is carmelized and crunchy like bark.
Heat smoker to 200-250 with your favorite wood. Coat ends in Duncan Farms dry rub.
Places ends on a wire rack so thy will easy to pull off the grill. Smoke for 3 hours, flipping peices half way through.
Remove ends after 3 hours and let them rest for 30 minutes. Move ends to a grill safe tray and coat in your favorite BBQ sauce.
Smoke an additional 2 hours, checking every 30 minutes to stir and recoat in sauce.
Burnt ends are done when the outside is carmelized and crunchy like bark.
