Deconstructed Egg Roll in a Bowl
Made in 15 minutes or less this high protein bowl is a quick way to get veggies into your weeknight meals.
Deconstructed Egg Roll in A Bowl
1lb of Duncan Farms Ground Sausage ( you can also use ground pork or ground chicken in this recipe)
1 tsp of minced garlic
1 medium cabbage shredded or 1 bag of coleslaw mix
¼ cup of soy sauce
1 tsp of ground ginger ( try buying fresh ginger and freezing it, using a grater on frozen ginger is so easy and stores longer)
1 Duncan Farms Egg
2-4 tsps. of siracha or your favorite hot sauce (optional)
1 tbsp. of sesame oil
2 tbsps. of sliced green onions
In a large skillet cook ground meat until brown over medium/high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Add the cabbage or coleslaw mix, soy sauce and ginger. Cook until desired tenderness. We recommend adding a tablespoon of water and cooking with a lid to help cook the cabbage down if you cut it yourself and the size of the shred is a bit thicker.
Lower heat to low, and make a well in the middle of the skillet to crack an egg into. Scramble the egg and cook until done.
Once everything is cooked through remove from heat. Add siracha, drizzle over sesame oil and mix until combined. Sprinkle with green onions and serve.
