Easy Marinated Beef Kebobs with Seasonal Produce
by Duncan FarmsKebobs are a great meal to make when you have picky eaters as you can easily customize skewers based on your family preferences. Any summer seasonal produce can be added in as layers, but our favorites are highlighted in this recipe.
Our beef kebobs are from a siloin cut as we believe the naturally lean meat is rich in beefy flavor, and grills up nicely. We recommend marinating your beef overnight to allow for the beef to soak up as much of the marinade as possible.
Ingredients
1 package of Duncan Farms beef for Kebobs ( break down pieces into 1-1.5" cubes for a fast cook time)
2-3 bell peppers, chopped into 1" pieces
2-3 zucchini or summer squash, cut into 1" thick rounds
1 onion
Kebob Skewers
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsps. of Duncan Farms Steak Seasoning ( 1 packet)
Marinade Ingredients
Directions
Put all marinade ingredients in a gallon sealable bag. Add chunks of beef, and re-seal bag. Place in a bowl to hold upright and put in fridge overnight.
If using wooden skewers, soak in water for a min. 20 minutes.
Thread beef and vegetables onto skewers layering beef than veggies in an alternating pattern until the skewer is full.
Grill over high heat for 8-10 minutes total, turning every 3-5 minutes.
Remove kebobs, and cover in tinfoil and let sit for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the beef.
Serve with a side salad, roasted potatoes or rice.
Recipe Note
Add some of your favorite like mushrooms or cherry tomatoes for even more flavor. One of our favorite seasonal additions are 1" diced peaches!!
