Also know as bok choy or pak choy, this leafy green is a type of chinese cabbage. Smooth wide leaves can be eaten raw or cooked. This 10 minute dish is perfect for a flavorful weeknight side dish.
1 share of Baby Pac Choi: halved or quartered depending on size
1 tbsp of oil
5 cloves of garlic, minced
2 large shallots, minced
2 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tsp of sesame oil
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
Halve or quarter pac choi and rinse under cold water
Add oil to large wok or frying pan over medium high heat. Add garlic, shallots and cook until fragrant ( about 1-2 minutes)
Add pac choi, soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss to coat and cover with a lid. Cook for 1-2 minutes, uncover and toss. Cover again and cook cook until desired tenderness ( usually about 2-4 minutes more)
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and serve immediately.
Recipe Note
Add cooked shrimp or cooked ramen to turn this side into a full meal.
