Homestyle Beef Stroganoff
Duncan Farms steak fajita strips are perfect for fajitas, but can also be reimagined in a traditional beef stroganoff.
A quick weeknight meal, this is a great way to try our steak fajita strips in a new way.
1lb of Duncan Farms Steak Fajita Strips
2 cups of fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 medium onions, sliced thin
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup of butter
1 1/2 cups of beef broth
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups of sour cream
3 cups of cooked egg noodles
Add butter, mushrooms, onion and garlic into a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until onions are soft and remove from the skillet.
Cook beef in the same skillet until brown on all sides. Add 1 cup of broth, salt and Worcestershire sauce. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Cook egg noodles according to the package.
Stir in remaining broth into the flour, add this mixture to the skillet while stirring. Add onion and mushroom mixture, heat to boiling again, stirring frequently. Boil for about 1-2 minutes, until mixture starts to thicken. Turn down heat and stir in sour cream.
Serve over cooked noodles.
