CSA January 21
Make sure and visit our online store each week if you'd like any of our other products added to your delivery.
1 Dozen Eggs: One dozen farm fresh eggs. Our chickens are pasture-raised, which means they are free to roam and forage for grass and bugs, and are supplemented with a balanced feed for a robust diet. Compared to factory eggs, pasture-raised eggs have more vitamin A, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin E.
1 Package of Bacon: From pasture raised heritage hogs. Our bacon is hickory smoked and contains no nitrates.
1 Package of Sirloin Steak: From pasture raised 100% grass fed, grass finished cattle. This steak cut grills wonderfully, but we love using sirloin in stir frys. Try it in our Garlic Honey Steak Stir Fry recipe below.
1 Package of Broccoli Microgreens: We have collaborated with Sweet City Micros once again to give you a nutritional powerhouse in your CSA this week. Broccoli microgreens contain up to 10-100x sulfurphane than mature broccoli. Sulfurphane is an antioxidant known to kill and prevent cancer from spreading. This antioxidant acts as the security guard of the cell, guarding your cells from harmful free radicals. Find out how to care for them and amazing recipes here.
1 Package of Green Leaf Lettuce: Store in the refrigerator crisper drawer and wash just before using. Rich in vitamin A.
Grower's Choice: This week you will receive a combination of any of the following farm fresh produce: potatoes, carrots, celery, leeks, onion, kale, broccoli, brussel sprouts, or sweet potatoes.
Please remember, we are a beyond organic, permaculture farm and availability may change by the time we send you your CSA . We strive to provide you with what we have planned this week, but if something changes, we will upload this change before you receive your CSA. We send out only top quality produce, but due to our zero chemical policy, a little marring may occur on products. These vegetables/fruit are still beautiful and delicious.
