Garlic Honey Steak Stir Fry
While we all love a good grilled steak, we wanted to show you a fun way to use steaks to create a wonderful stir-fry. We are constantly thinking outside of the box here on the farm, and want you to use items in your CSA "farm box" in exciting new ways. This stir-fry works amazing with all steak cuts.
Ingredients:
1 Duncan Farms Premium Steak Package
3 tablespoons of soy sauce OR liquid aminos ( we have been using this as a soy sauce substitute and have been really enjoying this. We find if you do sub you may have to use a little more salt)
1 teaspoon of paprika
2 tbsp of cooking oil
1/4 cup of water
2 tablespoons of Duncan Farms Raw Honey
4 cloves of garlic, diced
1 tbsp sesame seed oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
sliced green onions for garnish
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a bowl combine soy sauce, water, garlic, honey, sesame seed oil, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to make the sauce. Whisk until fully combined.
Cook steak in 2 batches to keep them nice and crispy. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a saucepan over medium high heat.
When pan is hot add 1/2 the steak and brown all sides, about 2 minutes per side. Place cooked meat onto paper towels and cook the other half of steak. Add extra oil if needed. Remove and let sit on a paper towel.
Stir the sauce and pour about 1/3 into the same pan to deglaze it.
Add steak and pour the rest of the sauce over the steak and cook until the sauce starts to thicken---about 2-3 minutes.
Serve with white rice and steamed veggies. Garnish with green onions---in this weeks CSA you will have received micro greens from Sweet City Micros.
These pair perfectly as a nutritional powerhouse garnish.
